About me

I became a doula after my own birth experience left me wanting more — more support, more information, more of a voice in my own care. That feeling never left me, and now I channel it into supporting other families.

My approach is simple: I meet you where you are. Whether you're planning an unmedicated home birth or scheduling a cesarean, whether this is your first baby or your fourth, I'm here to help you feel informed, supported, and empowered.

I believe every birth is sacred — even the messy, unexpected, nothing-like-the-plan ones. Especially those, actually.

When I'm not catching babies (okay, the midwives catch them — I catch everything else), you'll find me in my garden, making too much soup, or convincing my teenagers that I'm still cool.

Postpartum support that saved me

Jennifer, August 2024

I didn't think I needed postpartum support. I was wrong. Two weeks after my son was born, I was drowning. Breastfeeding wasn't working, I hadn't slept more than 2 hours at a stretch, and I felt like a complete failure. Ordaine came over the next day. She held my baby while I showered for the first time in days. She watched me try to nurse and immediately saw the tongue tie everyone else had missed. She made me lunch. She told me I was doing great — and somehow, coming from her, I believed it. She came back twice a week for a month. Each visit, I felt a little more like myself. I don't know how I would have survived those early weeks without her.
