I didn't think I needed postpartum support. I was wrong.

Two weeks after my son was born, I was drowning. Breastfeeding wasn't working, I hadn't slept more than 2 hours at a stretch, and I felt like a complete failure.

Ordaine came over the next day. She held my baby while I showered for the first time in days. She watched me try to nurse and immediately saw the tongue tie everyone else had missed. She made me lunch. She told me I was doing great — and somehow, coming from her, I believed it.

She came back twice a week for a month. Each visit, I felt a little more like myself. I don't know how I would have survived those early weeks without her.

I was on the fence about hiring a doula — it felt like an extra expense we didn't really need. My partner convinced me to at least meet with Ordaine.

Within 20 minutes of our consultation, I was sold. She just got it. She understood my fears, my hopes, and she didn't try to push any particular agenda.

During labor, she was incredible. She knew exactly when to suggest position changes, when to offer water, when to just be quiet and hold space. My partner said he learned more from watching Ordaine than from any class we took.

We hired Ordaine for our second birth after having a traumatic first experience. From our first meeting, she made us feel seen and heard. She helped us process what happened the first time and gave us tools to advocate for ourselves.

When labor started, Ordaine was there within the hour. She stayed with us through 18 hours of labor, never once making us feel rushed or like she had somewhere else to be. When things got intense, her calm presence was everything.

Our daughter's birth was healing in ways I didn't know I needed. I credit so much of that to Ordaine.
